PERSONAL & GROUP TRAINING

Whether you are completely new to exercising and want to start the fitness journey, or you already know all the ins-and-outs of different training plans but want to shift gears — as your NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist, I am here to help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

I offer customized programs for individuals one-on-one, groups, and organizations, including targeted cardio, muscle building, and strength and endurance training.

PILATES

Pilates is a great choice for everyone from beginners to advanced students because the exercises not only can build in difficulty, but every exercise can be modified to decrease or increase the level of challenge.  Toning, flexibility, better posture, more efficient movement, the body/mind connection—just about every benefit the Pilates method has to offer can be achieved through mat work. Mat Pilates is a strengthening and lengthening form of exercise that focuses on your core (muscles while also training your arms and legs.

As a Certified Pilates instructor, I design classes and offer appropriate modifications for any age, body, or fitness level. It is even possible to practice the modifications of the matwork in a chair.

LOW PRESSURE FITNESS

Low Pressure Fitness (LPF) is a new approach to core and posture training that focuses on training the involuntary function of the core and pelvic floor.

If you want to strengthen your core muscles and have toned but flexible muscles along with a more efficient breathing pattern, then you can benefit from LPF.  If you suffer with low back pain or neck pain, pelvic pain, abdomen or pelvic floor weakness or recently went through a pregnancy you can also benefit from LPF.  If you have any physical ailments that do not allow you to perform high intensity, higher impact exercises, then LPF is right for you too.

PRE & POSTNATAL COACHING

You can continue or even start exercising while pregnant, but need to do so in a safe manner. I’ve been there and I did not want to stop my workout routine, so I adjusted it to fit my needs and my growing belly. Many studies praise the benefits of exercise during pregnancy. Benefits range from a healthier pregnancy with reduced risk of insulin resistance, shorter labor time and faster recovery with lower rates of postpartum depression.

As a Girls Gone Strong (GGS) Certified Prenatal and Postnatal Coach, I tailor exercises based on each trimester of the pregnancy. Exercises are also different in the postnatal phase where an abdominal separation can be present and the core is weakened after the birth phase.

In under 60 minutes, my pre and postpartum sessions offer very specific and target exercises and are designed to meet the needs of moms-to-be and new moms.

NUTRITION & WEIGHT LOSS

Living healthy isn’t only about physical activity. It’s also about what we put in our bodies to fuel them.

As a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach, I help clients reach their health goals and lose weight as part of the process.  No fads or pseudo-science here — my nutrition coaching integrates the most up-to-date evidence-based information on exercise, nutrition, and behavior change.

WORKPLACE HEALTH & WELLNESS

I partner with organizations, businesses, and government agencies to develop unique in-house programs to keep their staff safe, healthy, engaged, productive and well.   I provide tailored services that can be deployed virtually to help empower employees to remain healthy, physically fit and connected, especially as organizations manage an increasingly dispersed workforce due to the pandemic.  Services include:

 

  • Solving perplexing worksite wellness program problems.
  • Conducting valid analyses of wellness program data.
  • Providing guidance on wellness program design challenges.
  • Executing specialized worksite wellness projects.
  • Building health and wellbeing strategy involving tailored behavior change programs.
  • Designing specialized virtual coaching sessions, team challenges, and virtual classes.
